Marijuana is a natural drug, it grows as a plant, cannabis, there are a variety of species and uses of the plant. Lead to depression and anxiety, and is addictive. It is smoked or consumed orally. The effect is much larger in oral consumption and overdose might lead to complete paranoia, and can last for a few days. The main problem is widespread use of this drug and disagreement on its health effects. 8% of cannabis users become dependent [Ref]. Some countries have no laws regarding Marijuana, Netherlands being one of the most known, while some like India regulates Marijuana but due to high cultural and religious use, the laws can never be effective.

Crack also reaches the brain faster than powdered cocaine, but the high lasts for a short time. The drug gained its popularity in 1980’s. Heroin

Founded in 1874 one of the world’s oldest drugs, considered as the most addictive drug in the world by most people. About a quarter of those who use heroin become physically dependent.

The drug is so addictive that the recovery rate under treatment is 20%, whereas for others the rate is somewhere in between 40-60%[Ref] The drug has severe withdrawal symptoms and patients often relapse and withdrawal can begin within a few hours of last use! More often than not the patient would die before ever getting a treatment.

It was originally a painkiller and was considered safe, before it became the world’s most addictive drug. The drug is expensive, which is one of the reasons that number of drug addicts are not as high in number as they could have been.

Common side effects include respiratory depression , abscesses, infected heart valves, blood borne infections, constipation, and pneumonia.

Krokodil

This drug literally eats you alive.

Users of Krokodil are doomed because of its lower price and easy availability, that’s what makes it more dangerous than Heroine, although its not as strong as Heroine, user can get it more often, the effect diminishes quickly and addiction gets stronger and more painful. It is almost 1/3rd the price of heroine, and can be home made. It requires minimal expertise to cook some Krokodil, there are many ways you will come across the internet that teaches them, and that’s one of the reasons its hard to control. Ingredients mostly consist of painkillers, iodine, lighter fluids and industrial cleaning agents. Its mostly used in Russia.
